About Me

I’ve Been Managing Offshore Projects for 25 years.

 With 25 years of successful Project Management experience, my next challenge will be the Renewable Subsea Energy market.  At present, I’m generating a project plan to finance pilot renewable projects – to meet many governments’ Sustainable Development Goal “No.07 – Affordable and Clean Energy”.

Environmental Recovery for Bibby Offshore

Post storm damage aftermath in the Gryphon field, Danish Sector, North Sea. (An FPSO broke loose her moorings and devastated the entire field infrastructure). Project commenced shutting-in all SSSV’s and making the field safe. Progressed on to de-oiling procedures to mitigate environmental impact.

1997 / Hibernia Management

Formed part of the 6-member project management team for Hibernia Management & Development Co.  Appointed Team Lead on the diving regulation & legislation review and produced valuable input into Canada’s new Oil & Gas Diving Regulations. The vast knowledge gained in International Diving Regulations consequently enabled several other successful projects.  Vancouver, Canada.

1999 / commercial Diving Group

Co-founder of the Commercial Diving Group, a Canadian commercial diver-training facility. North Vancouver, Canada

Project duration: 2 years

2001 / WCB

Responsible for the creation, development and management of provincial funding.

Research grants of $75K and $50K were awarded by the WCB for designing projects that would benefit the health & safety of commercial divers.

Projects included a diver-worn decompression computer, and a diver safety training video.  North Vancouver, Canada.

Project duration:  1 year.

2001 / Talisman Energy

Consulted to Talisman Energy, producing an Investment Appraisal for the commercial use of Nitrox for the Lake Eire Diving Program.

Project duration:  6 months

2002 / Global Intl

Commercial management plan for Global Intl to develop a lump sum “Crossings” contract which was subsequently completed on time & in budget.  Mumbai, India

2003 / WCB

Consulted to the Workers Compensation Board of BC, Canada (Occupational Diving Division) to manage the safety of independent diving contractors, by reviewing and implementing safe diving procedures.

Project duration: 6 months

2004 / Bonica

Reviewed and edited an instructional manual for Bonica, Canada – Dive Products Division, for the Arrow diving computer.

Project duration: 6 months

2004 / Fraser Diving International

Implemented & managed the DSV ECLIPSE project for Fraser Diving International.  A $15M USD subsea Inspection contract, required by the Government of China for statutory inspection certificates.  Shekou, China

Project duration: 6 months

2005 / Cal Dive INtl

Project Management of the rebuild of the DSV Witch Queen for Cal Dive Intl.  A $12M USD project involving replating much of the hull, and a complete overhaul of existing machinery.  All necessary USCG & DNV certifications were awarded.  After launching, the vessel went on to work in the Gulf and Mexico and Trinidad, in which I was the offshore project manager

2007 / Diving Support vessel

Offshore Project Manager for the Diving Support Vessel BIBBY SAPPHIRE.  (contracted to ISS)  Continuous diving projects from 2007 to 2009 in the UK sector, North Sea

2011 / Bibby Offshore

2013 / SWIBER

Initially working in the Brunei SWIBER office, developing Installation Procedures for Flexible Pipelay campaigns, utilizing ROV & Diver interventions.   This was a $395M SURF project which also includes Installations of Risers, J-Tubes, Clamps, Flexible flowlines, HV/LV Composite Cables, and Umbilical’s.  Several heavy lifts over 600Te lifts were made.

2017 / KREUZ Subsea

Overseeing the new-build Diving Support Vessel  KREUZ CHALLENGER for KREUZ Subsea.  OPM managed the fit-out and delivery from Norway to Singapore. Followed by commissioning the vessel, and the successful integration into the BSP (SHELL) 2018 & 2019 Saturation and Air Diving IRM Campaigns.

2019 / McDermott intL

Contracted as an Offshore Project Manager to McDermott Intl for the First Gas and Base Scope projects, offshore India.  Kicking off a three year, $285M USD subsea contract,  covering the manufacture, delivery, and installation of deep water, subsea field equipment. Field assets installed: subsea trees, production manifolds, associated subsea control and connection systems, rigid pipelines, umbilicals and flexible jumpers in 4000’ of water.  Bay of Bengal, India.

2020 / deepsix subsea intl

Brought into Deepsix Subsea Intl to manage their Business Development projects.  In just a few short months, DSI has entered into JVA with a leading Port Business leader in Guyana, to supply diving, ROV & training services to the region.

Project duration:  6 months

2021 / Mcdermott intl

Contracted to McDermott International, (India) to manage offshore vessel operations for the KGD6 project.   This vessel operated in the Deepwater region -1835 meters (6000 feet) in the Bay of Bengal.  The project consisted of pre-commissioning activities prior to bringing the new offshore Gas field online.
